*Ateneo Fine Arts Festival showcasing seniors’ theses opens this April*

The Department of Fine Arts continues its tradition of showcasing the works
of the graduating seniors from its four programs (Art Management, Creative
Writing, Information Design, and Theater Arts) in the annual Ateneo Fine
Arts Festival happening from April 3 to April 13. For the second year in a
row, the festival will be held at Areté, the creativity and innovation hub
of the Ateneo de Manila University.

Kicking off the festival on April 3 will be the Art Management Seniors
Thesis and Presentation at the Ben Chan ArtSuite at 2 PM and the literary
reading of Creative Writing seniors at the Ignacio B. Gimenez Amphitheater
at 5 PM. The chapbooks of the CW seniors will be made available during the
reading and the entire duration of the festival.

Creative Writing and Theater Arts students under the playwriting track will
have their dramas stage-read at the Doreen Black Box Theater on April 5
while those under the directing track will have a tentative showcase of
their works slated on April 13.

On April 10, Information Design students will present their respective
theses in an exhibition that will occupy the lobbies and hallways of the
George SK Ty Learning Innovation Wing. Last year, the students proposed a
variety of design thinking, solution, and intervention on a wide variety of
topics that included literacy, environment, and HIV prevention. The
Information Design exhibition will run until April 13.

Other auxiliary events include the exhibition, *In the Spaces We Mend:
Inheriting the Unifinished Narrative of the Filipino Comfort Women, *on
view at the Rizal Library Special Collection Building until April 13 as
well as forthcoming performances and theatrical productions.
