Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director, the School Nurse II is the over-all
nurse supervisor for the Office. The position is also the lead coordinator
for emergency services. The position performs administrative functions with
the support of other nurses and office assistants in order to provide the
level of care required by current medical and nursing standards.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

*1.    **Reception and Front Desk Function:*

o   Mans shift in Front desk reception and Triage of patients

o   Conducts initial interview for consulting students  and other walk-in
patients in the infirmary

o   Takes vital signs

*2.  Administrative Support*

o   Maintains order and cleanliness in the clinic premises

o   Supervises the filing and safekeeping of medical records

o   Supports and develops staff services including coordination of the
employee selection process, work assignments, performance evaluations, and
staff development.

o   Coordinates schedules for reasonable hours and acceptable working
conditions to provide patient care coverage.

o   Initiates and participates in problem-solving and policy-forming

o   Assists the Director in monitoring supply inventories, budget and
purchase requisitions

o   Assists in the scheduling and requests for billing for contractual

o   Assists in logistics, preparation of materials and evaluation of health
education activities,  participates in planning and implementation of
health education activities

*3.   **Medical Service Support*

o   Acts as a First response team coordinator

o   Provides assistance to the doctors in wound dressing, administering
injections, and other nursing procedures

o   Assists in the arrangement of transport for the conduct of patients for

o   Keeps records, monitors and prepares summary reports of OGC referrals

*4.         **Health Education and Documentation Support*

o   Prepares monthly activity reports and collates annual reports,
including documentations and compilation of annual activities relating to
the LS Ateneo Food Safety and Nutrition Advisory Council (LS AFSNAC)

o   Assists in planning, logistics and notifications for LS AFSNAC and
other health education activities.

o   Assists in the screening of incoming freshman medical record such as
checking if the

  vaccine records are complete, if there are special needs or any
psychological problem

  before entering in the university.

o   Acts as a resource person for volunteer training for first aid and
blood pressure and monitors  student’s attendance for the LS-Health
Services activities.

5.       Performs other duties in the clinic, as may be assigned by the
School Physician

1. Registered Nurse
2.  With two years professional nursing experience, one year of which must
have been

     in a school setting

3.  Excellent frontline communication and interpersonal skills

4.  Proficient in MS Office applications
