*Job Summary*

Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Research and Creative Work
and the Director of the University Research Council (URC), the Project
Staff provides office support and monitors URC projects; provides
assistance in the organizational and administrative support, including
assisting in logistics-related arrangements and documentary support during
meetings, and events; coordinates in the preparation and submission of URC
data report; provides assistance in the preparation of documents for
overall program support; and in the preparation/gathering of proposals;
assists on communication among the URC members and the faculty grantees;
maintains data-base of URC-approved projects.



*Job Description*

*A. Management of Internal Grants*

1) Announces call for Proposals for all Internal Grants (URC
Grants/President’s Development Fund, “Big Projects”)

2) Gathers all Internal Grants Proposals submitted for URC evaluation

           - Compiles all proposals for the URC deliberation

           - Prepares and distributes letters for the approved projects

3) Monitors and Controls Budget of URC Grants

           - Keeps budget ledger per project to monitor expenses of
proponents

           - Attends to financial requests of the faculty such as:

·   Order for a Check

·   Budget Realignment

·   Process request by forwarding it to the Office of the VPLS

4) Tracks the progress of URC Projects

          - Monitors the status of the project of each Faculty Grant Award
to ensure that it is completed within the allotted time

          - Creates and updates ledgers of the different projects

          - Requests progress reports every six (6) months and final report
upon project completion

5) Files of URC Projects’ documents

6) Assists in other Internal Grants’ management


*B. Administrative Functions*

1) Coordinates/Communicates with the Office of the President, URC members
and Faculty

         -Handles the office documentation system; answering phone calls,
emails, and inquiries.

2) Documentation/Monitoring

3) Logistics-Related Arrangements on Meetings

4) Prepares URC Data and Reports

5) Maintains URC database record

6) Monitors and Controls the URC Budget



*C. Others*

1) Coordinates the Preparations and Implementation of the Professorial
Lectures

-          Coordinates with the Department and School

-          Logistical Preparations and Events Management

2) Provides assistance in special projects and events organized by the
OADRCW such as:

-          University Scholarly Work Awards

-          Orientation Sessions and Workshops

-          Co-Sponsored Events



*D. Performs other duties as may be required by the position, in accordance
with the instructions of the ADRCW and URC Director*



Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree preferably in Science, Engineering, Business
Administration, Marketing, Communication, Psychology or any related field.

·         At least two (2) years of work experience in industry or an
academic institution in a similar capacity

·         Competencies Required:

-     Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word processing, graphics, data
analysis, etc.), use of Statistical software, database design and
management.

-     Excellent oral and communications skills.

-     Excellent interpersonal skills

-     Basic Accounting skills

-     Analytical skills

-     Planning and organizing skills

-     Problem solving skills

-     Decision-making skills

-     Keen sense for details (meticulous)

-     Excellent social skills (team-player)
