*In a world over run by social media and technology, how is the study of
literature still made relevant?  Join the Ateneo Center for English
Language Teaching (ACELT) in its 53rd national conference on October 19-21,
2017 at the Ateneo de Manila University.  Entitled Literature Teaching
in/as a Moment of Change, the conference is geared towards teachers,
educators, and students who share an interest in continuing to make
literature a valuable part of one’s education.   *

*Critic and writer Dr. Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo of the University of Santo
Tomas (UST) Center for Creative Writing and poet and critic Danilo M. Reyes
of the Ateneo de Manila University will keynote the event.*

*Parallel workshops on teaching literature to primary, secondary, and
tertiary levels will also be conducted on the following topics:  Teaching
Young Adult Literature Today; Making Literature Matter in the 21st Century;
Teaching Popular Fiction; and Teaching 21st Century Literature from the
Philippines and the World.*

*Registration for the 3-day conference is Php 3,500 for onsite registration
with discounts for early bird (until 5 October 2017), groups, Teachers Club
members, and graduate and undergraduate students with valid IDs.*
