Office of Associate Dean for Research and Creative Works

Loyola Schools

*Job Summary*

Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Research and Creative Works
(OADRCW), the Office Staff III will be responsible for all tasks related to
external grants. This will involve finding all possible sources of grants
from various funding agencies both here and abroad; assisting faculty in
the preparation of proposals, budgets; monitoring externally-funding
projects; prepare and submit reports; coordinate with various
administrative and academic offices in the Loyola Schools for data needed
for CHED, DOST, PAASCU, fund agencies, etc. This position will also design
and develop a database/documentation system containing various information
related to scholarly work. He/she will provide assistance to the Research
Coordinators and the four schools on matters related to external grants
programs, and many others. He/she is expected to assist the RCW staff in
the various activities and programs of the office.

*Job Responsibilities*

1.    Office Support and Documentation

·         Collates data or information on all externally-funded researches

·         Prepares reports for various agencies which have recently
provided our researchers with funding support such as CHED-PCARI,

·         Develops a more organized updated documentation system that will
contain all the relevant information about research and creative work that
can be used by the various schools and offices and especially to support
our internationalization objectives

·         Assists the RCW staff in overseeing research projects funded by
the university that are being carried out by our faculty in terms of
documentation, budget accounting, etc

2.    Communication and Coordination

·         Coordinates with the Loyola Schools in the sourcing of possible
grants or funding from various agencies

·         Assists the Research Coordinators in disseminating information to
the Loyola Schools

·         Prepares reports/data in coordination with the various offices

3.    Logistical Support

·         Assists the other RCW staff in the preparation of the Research
Compendium, Professorial Grants Compendium, Conference participation
compendium, Publication compendium, PAASCU reports, reports submitted to
various LS offices, and many others.

4.    Budget and Finance Support

·         Assists in the preparation of research proposals or budget
reports for externally-funded projects

·         Assists in the preparation of budget reports from the various
externally-funded projects.

5.    Performs other related duties as may be required by the Head of the


·         Graduate of a Science or Engineering degree, Business
Administration, Marketing, Communication, Psychology or any related field.

·         Two years (2) experience in industry or an academic institution.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word processing graphics design
and management.

·         Excellent oral and communications skills.

·         Excellent interpersonal skills

·         Basic accounting skills

·         Analytical skills

·         Planning and organizing skills

·         Problem solving skills

·         Decision-making skills

·         Keen sense for details
