The MANILA OBSERVATORY is a Jesuit scientific research institution  
with research work in the fields of atmospheric and earth science in  
the Philippines and the Southeast Asian region.  It advocates a  
science-based approach to sustainable development and poverty  
reduction through its principal focus on the areas of climate change  
and disaster science.

The MANILA OBSERVATORY invites applicants for the following position:

Employment Type:  Full Time


Familiarize with project contract particularly project budget,  
financial guidelines and requirements
Monitor and review expense reports for compliance with funding  
agency?s regulations and authorized expenditures
Review project ledgers and process journal entries as required
Prepare monthly project financial reports based on given format, i.e.  
institutional, and/or funding agency
Coordinate and follow up with Project Development Officer and/or  
Project Team Leader on compliance with finance related funder  
Initiate project bank fund transfer
Compile and maintain project information/data to make it readily  
available for future reference.


Bachelor?s Degree in Accountancy or Finance, Business Management with  
Bookkeeping Certification
At least three (3) to four (4) years of experience in project/fund  
accounting and bookkeeping
Well-versed with accounting practices, tax laws of the Philippines,  
data management and financial data analysis
Must have analytical experience, be accurate with figures, well  
organized, and exercise sound judgment in decision making
Computer literate and know how to operate various accounting software  
along with MS Office
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Good interpersonal skills and a team player
