*University Press*

*Job Summary*

Under the supervision of the Director, the Project Marketing and Sales
Officer is in charge of all matters related to the promotion of all Press
products using modern and ethical marketing strategies, targeting the
widest possible market audience. The major task is to ensure that the
products of the Press are sold and consumed

*Job Responsibilities*

*1.     **Marketing Support*

· Plans the strategic marketing efforts for all press products:
academic/scholarly, literary, textbooks with Director and Marketing Head

· Establishes and sustains various publishing networks, i.e., other
publishers, book dealers, outlets and the like

·     Conducts market research and industry trends

·   Positions products to match the target market in coordination with
Press Director

·  In coordination with the Press Director, prepares and submits yearly
marketing plan to the Director and Business & Operations Head

·      Implements advertising and promotional campaigns

·     Designs marketing programs across different channels of publication
and media

·      Manages social media networks

·      Promotes Press products in the local, national and international

·      Sends out press releases to media and mailing list

·      Manages the portfolio of products

·      Manages the branding efforts of the press

*2.     **Sales Support*

·  Schedules and coordinates AdMU Press exhibits/sales with conference

·  Coordinates with Sales Assistant, Press Bookstore Coordinator and LS
Bookstore regarding bookshop display design and replenishment

·     Plans and supervises Press stand and display in the annual MIBF

·     Coordinates book launches with Director and Business &Operations Head

·     Designs Book of the Month posters for distribution on campus

·     Designs Press catalog and other promotional materials

·  Oversees and coordinates with freelance sales force for AdMU Press

*3.     **Other Responsibilities*

·    In charge of UPress’ bulletin board (updating, concept and design)

·    Sends book award nominations to award-giving offices after approval of
the Director in coordination with Chief Editor

4.     Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by immediate


1.     Graduate of any Business-related course

2.     Must have at least 5 years professional experience in the field of
marketing and sales

3.     Motivated and aware of the products of the Press

4.     Must know basic Ateneo, Ignatian values and be of good moral standing

5.     Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

6.     Must have sufficient knowledge of basic Word programs

7.     Preferably can drive
