The MANILA OBSERVATORY is a Jesuit scientific research institution  
with research work in the fields of atmospheric and earth science in  
the Philippines and the Southeast Asian region.  It advocates a  
science-based approach to sustainable development and poverty  
reduction through its principal focus on the areas of climate change  
and disaster science.

The MANILA OBSERVATORY invites applicants for the following position:

Employment Type:  Full Time


Perform routine, repetitive cleaning of assigned areas in the Manila  
Observatory including offices, storerooms and the library;
Sweep, mop, wax and polish floors; dust furniture and fixtures such as  
tables, chairs, cabinets, bookshelves, and windows using standard  
cleaning agents such as soap, floor wax, etc.
Empty trash cans and dispose trash;
Operate light cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaner and floor polisher;
Clean enameled and tile surfaces and fixtures in toilets/ lavatories  
and floorings;
Assist in carpentry and building maintenance works e.g. painting, plumbing;
Handle the photocopying of documents, maps, and other materials from  
time to time;
Deliver and follow up official communications/ documents as the need  
arise; and
Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas at all times.


High school graduate
With at least 1 year of housekeeping experience
Has commendable interpersonal skills
