*Job Summary*

Under the Facilities Management and Security Officer, the Mobility
Coordinator position is in charge of planning, directing, coordinating and
overseeing all functions to ensure continuous improvement in the operations
of the School Transport Services, Walkability, Traffic and Parking

*Job Responsibilities*

1.       School Transport Service, Walkability and Parking Management

·         Evaluates all elements of school transport service, mobility,
walkability, traffic and parking management  on a continuing basis

·         Evaluates and recommends sustainable mobility behavior change
support systems that encourage a voluntary shift to more sustainable
transport modes

·         Inspects all aspects of transportation services for the purpose
of evaluating safety of road conditions and makes recommendations to the
Central Facilities Management Office (CFMO) and Campus Safety and Mobility
Office ( CSMO)

·         Presents  information regarding school transport, walkability,
traffic and management for the purpose of communicating information,
gaining feedback and ensuring adherence to established internal controls to
the FMSO-BEU Officer and consultations will be done with CSMO)

·         Recommends policies, procedures and/or actions related to the
above-mentioned areas for the purpose of providing direction for meeting
the school’s goals and objectives

·         Ensures compliance with all school policies and procedures  and
government regulations through monitoring and inspection

·         Researches new vehicles, laws, regulations, etc. for the purpose
of recommending purchases, contracts and proper maintenance of transport

·         Responds to emergency situations during and after regular hours
for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns

·         Oversees all the processes in the accreditation of all school
service vehicles

a)       Prepares and checks all the requirements submitted by the school
service operators for  accreditation by FMSO (April to July)

b)       Issues certification to school service operators as a requirement
needed for the application of  vehicle stickers from  the Campus Safety and
Mobility Office (CSMO) – April to July

c)       Prepares and disseminatesall the accredited operators, their
contact numbers and routes of all the vehicles – June  to July

d)       Reviews all school transport -related complaints and queries and
coordinates with the designated offices (Ex. APSAF, AHSA, GLCs) for

e)       Conducts inspection of all school service vehicles

·         Regular – September and November

·         Random by FMSO staff

f)        Issues  and makes follow-up of notices given to operators for
non-compliance and violations which will serve as reference for evaluation
for  the succeeding  application for accreditation

g)       Regularly updates lists of BEU student riders – July and November

h)       Quarterly  (or as needed) attends town hall meetings  with all
school service operators

i)         Coordinates with True Blue School Transport Service Association,
Inc. (registered with the SEC last Sept. 29, 2015) which aims to “support
programs, policies and advocacies of the Ateneo de Manila University with
regard to traffic safety, clean environment and peace inside the campus.”

·         Oversees vehicle preventive maintenance program of all BEU
vehicles for the purpose of ensuring that school-owned vehicles are
maintained  in a safe and effective operating condition; makes
recommendation  for disposal and/or  replacement of the units

a)       Basic Education – 2  units  ( E-jeep  and VP-BE’s car)

b)       Grade School –  4 units  (2 Toyota Grandia, 1 Crosswind,
Headmaster’s car)

c)       High School – 1 unit ( Adventure for Principal’s use)

·         Coordinates closely with CSMO regarding policies, procedures and
guidelines in the implementation and improvement of   traffic and parking
management, pedestrian safety and the promotion of campus walkability in
the Basic Education  complex

2.       Office Support

·         Facilitates and/or participates  in meetings, workshops and
trainings to improve skills, attitudes, and knowledge  of school-related

·         Prepares a wide variety of written materials (ex.
correspondences, memos, reports, policies, procedures, guidelines, etc.)
for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference
and/or conveying information

3.       Communication and Coordination Support

·         Communicates, enforces and develops  programs for the proper
management of campus safety and mobility (both pedestrian and vehicular)

·         Collaborates with internal and external personnel (Ex.
administrators, public agencies, parents, transportation regulation
agencies, service providers) for the purpose of implementing and /or
maintaining the above-mentioned areas

·         Meets regularly with the Campus Safety and Mobility Office (CSMO)
and designated offices in the Basic Education to review and enhance service
quality and performance

4.       Performs other related task that may be assigned by immediate head.


1.       Bachelors Degree preferably a graduate of Civil or Mechanical
Engineering or any related course (license not required)

2.       With 1-3 years of experience in transportation management

3.       Must possess the following:

·         Interpersonal skills

·         Oral and written communication skills

·         Computer skills

·         Keen sense for detail

4.       Team player
