*Job Summary*

Under the supervision of the EMC Coordinator, the Audio Visual Assistant I
performs tasks supportive of operations in the ITC.

*Job Responsibilities*

1.       Charges and discharges non-print materials and equipment.

·         Issues materials and equipment to borrowers

·         Recalls materials and equipment after the scheduled use

·         Sorts and places materials in containers or on the shelves

·         Keeps the Circulation Counter in order

2.       Accepts reservation requests of facilities and equipment as well
as the scheduling of projection rooms and other services.

·         Encodes requests into the online room reservation and/or ITC
online calendar subject for approval of the Non-Print Librarian.

·         Installs, sets-up, and/or operates the requested equipment if

3.       Handles all photo-documentation requests received by the Center.

4.       Assists in the video-documentation especially during school-wide

5.       Assists in the maintenance and repair of all equipment under the
ITC for maximum utilization.

·         Does minor repairs or brings equipment with major damage to
service center;

·         Submits a quarterly report of all maintenance and repair jobs on

6.       Assists in the setting-up and operation of the sound system in the
Covered Courts and other areas during year level/school-wide activities.

7.       Assists in the inventory of equipment and electronic supplies.

·         Conducts a regular inventory of equipment and electronic supplies;

·         Acquires or initiates re/orders electronic supplies/spare parts
as necessary;

8.       Handles the dubbing, taping, editing and recording needs of
students and teachers.

9.       Handles the duplication of audio recordings for posterity.

10.   Teaches the users on the proper operation and use of various AV

11.   Recommends equipment for acquisition.

12.   Performs other functions that may be required from time to time.


·         Bachelor’s Degree

·         Has 1 year work experience in the following:

o   Operating sound system and AV equipment in big venues

o   Troubleshooting of malfunctioning AV equipment

o   Audio editing

·         With basic knowledge in sound engineering

·         Computer and technology savvy

·         Good command of both English and Filipino languages

·         Must possess good interpersonal skill
