We are inviting you to the Ateneo School of Government’s brown bag session
on *Striking a Balance: Coal Fired Power Plants in the Philippines’ Energy *
*Future* on 08 July 2016 (Friday), 9:30-11:30 am, Conference Rooms 1-2,
Ateneo School of Government.

*Brief Description:*

As a response to the energy and environmental crises, the Ateneo
School of Government
commissioned a study on the state of coal energy in the Philippines. In
this paper, the research team explored coal energy, outlining its state in
the country, and analyzing its pros and cons in the context of the economy,
health, the legal system, and the environment. Both the private and public
sectors, as well as civil society and the academe, were involved in the
study, and its latest findings were shared to participants of the 21st
Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC in Paris, France last December.
