*RENEWED CALL FOR HUMANITARIAN RESPONSE FOR TYPHOON LANDO VICTIMS*

The Ateneo de Manila University, through its Disaster Response and
Management (DReaM) Team, once again *appeals* to the generosity of members
of the University community and friends for donations to meet relief and/or
rehabilitation needs of certain groups of victims of Typhoon Lando (Koppu).

The donations shall be directed to them in areas served by the University
in Central Luzon, with priority for partner communities in Gabaldon and
Cabiao, Nueva Ecija and the local governments there. These are among the
numerous municipalities of the province where vast crop lands largely
tended by small and marginalized farmers have been washed away by
typhoon-induced flooding, with the farmers having no choice but to start
anew with their crop cycles. They have begun to suffer much in immediate
livelihood displacement and uncertainty as to how to make ends meet in the
immediate and near future.

Please consider DONATING IN KIND the following items, to be each included
(in the quantities indicated) in family packs of basic relief goods which
sectors of the University are putting together through "mini" operations at
the Loyola Schools Covered Courts and at the Grade School:

Must:
- 3 cans of sardines (155-200g)
- 3 cans of corned beef (200-250g)
- 8 packs/cups of instant noodles (60g)

To add, if available:
- 2 pieces of towels
- 2 pieces of blankets
- 1 mat

(Other items such as rice and drinking water will be attempted to be
sourced nearer the disaster areas.)

You may also DONATE IN CASH. Cash and check donations will, starting
Tuesday, October 20, 2015, be accepted by Ateneo de Manila cashiers located
at Xavier Hall (Windows 7 and 8), the Grade School, the High School, and
the Professional Schools. Other modes and mechanics of cash donations
are described in the attached material.

This University effort aims to augment those of the local and national
governments and of other groups of responders. Indications are, however,
that resources are stretched owing to the wideness of the areas of
destruction.

Let us do what we can to help our fellowmen in need.
