*Project: *Championing Children’s Rights in Rehabilitation through
Government- Civil Society-Children Engagement (CHARGE)
*Program: *JVO Executive Education Program
*Location: *SDC Complex, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Ave. Quezon
City
*Position: *Project Associate– full time
*Report to: *JVO Executive Education Director
*Salary: *Up to PhP 22,600, depending on the competencies and experience of
the   applicant

*Project Description and Objectives:*

ASoG aims to assist in the strengthening of child rights governance in
Yolanda-affected areas through the capacity-building of 6 local government
units (LGUs) and 30 civil society organizations (CSOs) that are working for
child rights in the Provinces of Iloilo , Eastern Leyte, and Western Leyte.
This will be done through the provision of technical support and trainings
that will focus on empowering and enabling these local CSOs to engage with
the government for more effective service delivery.

Research will be conducted throughout the project in order to ensure the
effectiveness of the capacity-building activities and the attainment of
overall project objectives. During the planning stage in particular, gaps
and weaknesses in the competencies and capabilities of the target LGUs and
CSOs for child rights governance will be identified in order to develop the
overall training design.

*Scope of Work*

The Project Associate is responsible for providing administrative and
technical assistance to the Project:

I. Conduct a comprehensive situational analysis of child rights governance
in the target areas;
II. Lead the planning of activities and prepare planning documents to
ensure project efficiency and effectivity;
III.Take charge of the day-to-day implementation of the CHARGE project;
IV. Implement the activities set out in the Detailed Implementation Plan of
the Partner Sub- Award Agreement with the Save the Children (SCI) Sweden;
V. Provide technical support in the delivery of project outputs;
VI. Coordinate closely with the administrative staff of ASoG and the funder
on administrative matters;
VII. Lead the preparation of the financial and narrative reports of the
Project.

*Qualifications*

The Project Associate must have the following qualifications:

   - A graduate of social work, development studies, urban and regional
   planning, community development, sociology, political science, or any
   related social science courses;
   - Experience in training facilitation and proposal development;
   - Work experience with similar job description is a plus;
   - Research and writing background or work experience is important;
   - Strong interest in children's rights and/or Disaster Risk Reduction is
   a must;
   - Must have strong attention to details and also be able to implement
   activities at the local level with minimum supervision;
   - Capable of handling coordinative and administrative tasks
   systematically and with focus and due diligence;
   - Willing to travel and can work independently and with minimum
   supervision.
