[Blueboard] CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: AIKS Research and Creative Work Grants for SY 2015-2016

To the LS Community,

The Ateneo Initiative for Korean Studies (AIKS) is calling for
applications for its Research and Creative Work Grants for the School
Year 2015-2016. Full-time or part-time Loyola Schools faculty members
may apply for any of the two grants:

•	USD500 for any Korea-related research paper
•	USD500 for Korean translation project

Original, previously unpublished work, must be publishable in any
journal preferably but not limited to Kritika Kultura and Korean
Studies journals e.g. Korea Journal (UNESCO, A&HCI), Acta Koreana
(Keimyung University, A&HCI, etc.), Journal of Korean Studies
(University of Washington, SSCI, PAIS, etc.), Korean Studies
(University of Hawaii, Project Muse), Korea Observer (Institute of
Korean Studies, PAIS, etc.), Review of Korean Studies (Academy of
Korean Studies).

The policies, guidelines, and application form may be downloaded from
aifis.ateneo.edu/AIFIS/downloads. Three items need to be submitted:
(1) a detailed proposal as outlined in the guidelines, (2) a completed
application form with a 100-word abstract and noted by the Chair and
Dean, and (3) a short curriculum vitae(s) of the proponent(s) [one to
two-pages only].

The deadline for submission of the required documents is *July 31,
2015*. Hard copies must be submitted to the Office of the Associate
Dean for Research and Creative Work at Faber Hall 307 AND the
electronic version should be sent by e-mail to dandres at ateneo.edu.
Awards will be announced by August 31, 2015, and projects may start in
September 2015. If you need assistance in the preparation of the
