*BEIJING FOOD AND HERITAGE*

*Tour Date: 24 to 31 July 2015*​​​​

China, with 1.3 billion people, ranks as the second largest country in Asia
and competes with the title of the world's largest economy and yet
maintaining its more than 5,000 years of history is home to one of the best
scenic spots in the world. The Center aims to open an avenue to bring
awareness to Philippine scholars on the different historical sites and
regions in China and develop interest in doing research related to Chinese
Studies. The second station tour is directed towards China's capital city,
Beijing.

This tour to Beijing offers a unique opportunity to taste  the different
regional cuisines and snacks while exploring scenic spots that dates back
to more than 3, 000 years of recorded history. Make history alive as you
walk the Great Wall, explore the Imperial Palace reconstructed during the
Ming Dynasty, the Forbidden City, take a stroll in the beautiful simmer
palace and be stunned by the grandeur of pavillions, corridors and temples
among lakes surrounded by hills. Photograph old lanes and courtyards in
neighboring Hutongs and get the chance to experience the Altar and Echo
Wall at the Temple of Heaven.
