Office Alumni Relations

*Job Summary:*

This position reports to the Director of the Office of Alumni Relations
(OAR). The Program Officer, assists the Director in organizing formation
programs for the alumni aligned with the University’s strategic thrusts,
and coordinates with the Ateneo Alumni Association (AAA) and various alumni
groups in their projects and activities. This also includes coordinating
with the various sectors of the University in the development of common
projects and events.

*Job Responsibilities:*

1.     Assists the Director in the creation and implementation of the
alumni formation programs following the University’s strategic thrusts.

a.     Coordinates with the AAA and the  various alumni groups in
organizing formation events;

b.     Coordinates with the OAR personnel for logistical concerns and

c.     Attends and documents the following meetings:

·         Monthly meetings of the AAA President and the OAR Director to
discuss alumni formation programs;

·         Formation meetings of the OAR Director and the Office of Mission
and Identity (OMI) in formulating modules for the alumni formation programs;

·         Ignatian Renewal Network (IRN) for planning and implementation of
alumni formation modules.

·         Invites speakers and the alumni sector concerned for the
implementation of the alumni formation events.

2.     Assists the Director in coordinating with the various sectors or
offices in the University for events and activities such as Annual Ignatian
Festival and DReaM Team initiatives.

a.     Coordinates with the Office of the Vice-President for Social
Development and alumni for DReaM Team projects.

b.     Assists the Director in implementing University formation programs
for alumni as decided upon by the University Formation Council;

c.     Coordinates with the working committee of the annual Ignatian

d.     Coordinates with the Gesu Liturgical Committee in organizing the
annual Holy Week Triduum Retreat by answering queries on the details of the
retreat, handling reservations and payments;

e.     Coordinates with the Development Office and the UCPRO in organizing
the annual Bonfire event particularly the food catering concerns for the
dinner of the athletes;

f.      In-charge of the overall logistics and program for the Ateneo
Sports Hall of Fame (every 3 years);

g.     Coordinates with the University Communications and Public Relations
Office (UCPRO) in the production of the annual University planner.

3.     Assists the Director in the publication of the bi-annual Alumni
Magazine and coordinates with the University Press, the AAA, the UCPRO and
various stakeholders and contributors of the project.

a.     Takes the minutes of the meetings

b.     In-charge of coordination and logistical requirements

c.     Provides updates to the OAR Director of the development of the
publication of the magazine

4.     Assists and coordinates with the AAA and the various alumni
organizations in their events and projects.

a.     Documents the regular organizational meetings of the various
jubilarian-batches of each year and assists the AAA in organizing and
managing the annual Grand Alumni Homecoming;

b.     Represents the OAR Director in his absence

c.     Organizes campus tour for the visiting alumni


·         Has Bachelor’s Degree, ideally an alumna or alumnus

·         With 3 years experience in the corporate and educational sector

·         Has excellent interpersonal, customer service and public
relations skills; courteous and professional in dealing with others

·         Has a good command of the English language (oral & written)

·         Good conflict-resolution skills

·         Has a sense of urgency and embodies Ignatian *Magis*

·         Good computer and filing skills

·         Has events management experience, can organize projects and events

·         Has the ability to multi-task effectively and has a keen eye for

·         Can work effectively on a team
