Ateneo de Manila University President Fr. Jose Ramon Villarin, SJ and
Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) chair Ramon del Rosario, Jr.

Ateneo celebrates Korean harvest festival

Korean fans and enthusiasts were treated to a week of delight and wonder as
the Ateneo de Manila University recently celebrated “Chuseok,” or the
Korean Harvest Festival. The Chuseok festival was held from September 22 to
26 in the Loyola Schools and it was one of the biggest Korean-themed events
celebrated in the university this year.

Dayrit receives 2014 Gregorio Y. Zara Award for Basic Research

The Philippine Association for the Advancement of Science (PhilAAS)
celebrated Filipino innovators during the 46th annual Gregorio Y. Zara
Award for Basic and Applied Science Research. Named after one of the
country's pioneering aeronautics engineers and inventors, the award has
been given annually since 1968.

Ateneo Completes Historic Sweep of UAAP Swimming

At the end of the four-day UAAP Season 77 Swimming Tournament, Ateneo
emerged on top, besting defending champions University of the Philippines
in both the Men's and Women's Division. University of Santo Tomas and De La
Salle University were third in the Men's and Women's division,
respectively. Ateneo's succes would also come in the Juniors' division as
their Boys' team completed a 10-peat feat. (with video highlights)

No Storybook Ending for Newsome and Elorde

Both playing in their final year for the blue and white, graduating Eagles
Chris Newsome and Nico Elorde did not quite get the perfect ending to their
UAAP journey as the Ateneo Blue Eagles fell short of booking a seat in the
finals, unable to cage the National University (NU) Bulldogs away.
