Loyola Schools issues memo against human auctions
September 30, 2014--The Loyola Schools' Associate Dean for Student Affairs
Mr. Rene Salvador R. San Andres issued a statement and warning against
human auctions and similar activities, saying that these activities are an
affront to the values of the Ateneo and undermine the goals of Ignatian
Ateneo de Manila University is top performing school in 2014 chemistry
Twenty-six chemists from the Ateneo de Manila University made the school
the best performing school in the Chemistry Licensure Examinations held
from September 16 to 17, 2014 with a 100% passing rate, the Philippine
Federation of Chemistry Societies said.
AGSB Inaugurates a New Home for its Sta. Rosa Satellite Campus
The Ateneo Graduate School of Business recently inaugurated a new site for
its satellite campus in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, and celebrated this milestone
with a ribbon cutting and blessing ceremony on 15 September 2014. The
ribbon cutting ceremony, pictured above, was led by AGSB Dean Rudy Ang,
together with Dr. Ely Aurellado, AGSB Finance Cluster head; Ponci
Lumanglas, outgoing AGSB-Sta. Rosa Student Council President; and Errol
Bitera, incoming AGSB-Sta. Rosa Student Council President.

its first performance in 1955, it has become one of the most frequently
staged Filipino plays, its two leading roles essayed by actors of the

Ateneo celebrates Korean harvest festival
Korean fans and enthusiasts were treated to a week of delight and wonder as
the Ateneo de Manila University recently celebrated “Chuseok,” or the
Korean Harvest Festival. The Chuseok festival was held from September 22 to
26 in the Loyola Schools and it was one of the biggest Korean-themed events
celebrated in the university this year.
Ateneo holds colloquium on Hispanic Heritage in the Philippines
The Department of Modern Languages of the School of Humanities recently
held a colloquium on Hispanic Heritage in the Philippines entitled
“Influencia -> Impluwensiya”.

One comeback too short: NU beats Ateneo twice to book ticket to the finals,

Not even a 20-minute power outage could delay the inevitable.
The Ateneo Blue Eagles, despite finishing on top of the league standings at
the end of the elimination round, found themselves one comeback too short.
The Blue Eagles officially closed their University Athletic Association of
the Philippines (UAAP) Season 77 campaign with their second consecutive
loss to the National University (NU) Bulldogs, 63-65, on October 1 at the
Smart Araneta Coliseum.
