[Blueboard] Erasmus Mundus Research Opportunities

Dear LS Faculty Members:

Peace!

We would like to remind the faculty members of the following research
opportunities for the next school year under the ERASMUS MUNDUS MOBILITY
WITH ASIA (EMMAsia) program. *The Deadline is 15 November 2014.*

A. Postdoc grant (6 months)
B. PhD sandwich scholarship grant (18 months)

To be eligible for the Postdoc, the applicant
a. must be a Filipino national,
b. must have obtained her/his PhD in a Philippine university, and
c. must have not resided for more than 12 months in Europe within the last
5 years.

To be eligible for the PhD grant, the applicant
a. must be a Filipino national,
b. must be enrolled in a PhD program in a Philippine university other than
Ateneo de Manila, (the grants for Ateneo-enrolled students were awarded
last year) and
c. must have not resided for more than 12 months in Europe within the last
5 years.

Important notes:

1. The grants are available in the following European universities only:

a. Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis (France)
b.  Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus–Senftenberg(Germany)
c.  Lucian Blaga University Sibiu (Romania)
d.  The Second University of Naples (Italy)
e.  University of Warsaw (Poland)
f.   University of Evora (Portugal)
g.  Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands)

2.  The PhD grant should begin in September 2015, while the Postdoc can be
scheduled in Sept 2015 or later, upon consultation with the host.

3.  All grants cover roundtrip airfare; monthly stipend; and health, travel
and accident insurance.

4.  All applications should be done online until Nov 15, 2014. For

5.  Please visit the website of the relevant partner universities for the
fields of specialization.

The EMMAsia project is fully sponsored by the Erasmus Mundus Programme of
the European Commission through the Education, Audiovisual and Culture
Executive Agency (EACEA). In the last four years, about 120 students and
staff from the Philippines have been awarded EMMAsia grants under previous
projects.
