[Blueboard] Blue Eagle Mail Issues and How to correct them

To the Ateneo Community,

We've been getting some calls and emails about the following and here ways
of correcting them:

   1. Avoid account suspension on Google+ by providing the correct year of
your birth. If Blue Eagle Mail detects that your age is 12 years old and
below, your account is automatically suspended. Some users specified 2012
as their birth year. This means you're a year old and your account is
   automatically suspended.

   2. Your configuration for your email clients (Apple Mail, Thunderbird,
MS Outlook, Outlook Express) may actually be correct. *If you can't
fetch your emails via email clients, this might be because of Ateneo's
network not because of incorrect configuration. This fix is forthcoming.

   3. If you have not changed your password on Ateneo Horde (old system),
it is most likely that you don't have a Blue Eagle Mail account yet. Kindly
change your passwords to have your email account created. It takes an hour
or two for the server to create your email account. This is from the time
   you changed your password.

   4. Email accounts from mail.aps.ateneo.edu and pusit.admu.edu.ph
are *un*affected
by the transition. If your emails are from these accounts, you don't have a
   Blue Eagle Mail.

Thanks and kind regards,
