Conference Description
The conference is concerned with the relationship between language and  
power in various settings.  In particular, it examines language as a  
means of confronting social realities, with particular emphasis on  
power relations and ideological processes as evident in texts,  
pedagogical practices and educational policies. It covers topics such  
as global English, linguistic hybridity and resistance, critical  
literacy, critical discourse analysis, critical language awareness,  
views of power, views of text, views of schooling, critical pedagogy.

Conference Fees*

Early bird registration fee** (on or before 15 March 2013)    - P2,500
LSP members' registration fee***                              - P2,500
Onsite registration fee (after 15 March 2013)                 - P3,000

Fees include access to all presentations, lunch, morning and afternoon  
snacks, a kit with the conference program and other complementary  
materials, and a certificate of participation.
