Social Enterprises are deemed to have the potential to promote and support
inclusive growth in the country. By working with communities at the
grassroots level and integrating sustainable business practices in their
work, social enterprises are seen as drivers of socio-economic
transformation. The unparalleled force of the sector is now challenging how
conventional businesses and non-profit sector think and operate. However,
the question remains as to how this new breed of change agents can take
their game to the next level.

Mr. Yap has worked with top conglomerates in the country for over three
decades during his time at the SGV and has created a support network with
the aim of assisting social entrepreneurs in various areas through ISED. He
will share his analysis of the country's social enterprise sector and how
he sees this new field of development as an opportunity to foster
cooperation leading to sustainable social change.

This month's Red Carpet will feature an interview with *Bill Drayton*,
founder of *Ashoka*, an international organization that has taken a
leadership role in promoting and supporting the social enterprise sector.
Mr. Drayton's film feature is on *How Social Enterprises Work* and is a
good opportunity to learn more about this emerging citizen sector.

A brief open discussion will follow.
