Abstract

Professor Habito completed his licentiate in Theology and Doctoral studies in 
Buddhism and Indology at Sophia University and Tokyo University, 
respectively. He holds a teaching position at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  He is also a Guiding Teacher at Maria Kannon Zen Center in Dallas.  His published books include Living Zen, Loving God (Wisdom, 2004), 
Experiencing Buddhism: Ways of Wisdom and Compassion (Orbis, 2005), 
Healing Breath: Zen Spirituality for a Wounded Earth (Wisdom 2006), and 
The Gospel among Religions: Christian Theology, Ministry and 
Spirituality in a Multifaith World (Orbis 2010).
