??????????????????????????????????????

This long delayed opening was originally scheduled for the Ignatian
Festival on 21 July but rains prevented everyone from visiting the new
Foyer Gallery at the Fine Arts Annex (former Com Dept building in
front of the covered courts). Then came more rains, in late July,
leading to a crescendo this past week with floods and all. The
stoppage of class and offices at the Loyola Schools compelled a
postponement of the opening on 10 August. But now a week after on 17
August we will be opening the show. Hope it doesn't rain.

The opening is taking advantage of the presence of Fr. Jason Dy, SJ,
the original curator of the show and whose collection at Sacred Heart
Parish Alternative Contemporary Art Studio (SHP-ACAS) forms the bulk
of this exhibit. But for this exhibit at the Foyer Gallery, other
works not included in the original show have been incorporated. Added
features are the wall texts, which relate the art works more closely
to the SPEX.

The show will remain open until 15 October 2012. Please feel free to
drop by anytime the offices and classrooms of the FA Annex are open.
Stand or sit in front of a work that appeals to you and let it speak
to you. FA will provide monobloc chairs for anyone who wants to spend
time with the art works.

And do join FA for the Friday opening. This will be an opportunity to
thank Fr. Jason Dy for his generosity in sending works from Cebu.

Schools.
