The School of Science and Engineering (SOSE) has a long tradition of  
integrating service learning in their academic and research curricula,  
especially programs which are specifically geared towards authentic  
national development.  It has spearheaded numerous national, regional,  
and international initiatives, partnerships and collaboration among  
various industry players and stakeholders.

Consistent with SOSE's thrust to develop scientific and technological  
applications that can empower the underprivileged sector of society,  
this seminar-event aims to promote and encourage dialogue and  
collaboration among key actors to address developmental gaps in the  
areas of medicine and public health.
