              Healthy Meals for a Healthy Me


The 3rd session of our University Wellness Program entitled "Healthy  
Meals for a Healthy Me" is scheduled on Wednesday, 18 May 2011 to be  
held at the Science Education Complex SEC-C, Room 201, Procter and  
Gamble Hall, (you can check legend 126 on the University Map for  
direction at http://www.ateneo.edu/map/mapy.htm).  The session will be  
from 2:30 - 5:00 in the afternoon.

The 2 1/2 hour session will include the following topics:

1.  You are what you eat
      *  Impact of nutrition on health

2.  Nutrition and Meal Planning
      *  Essential nutrients needed by the body or basic food groups
      *  Planning easy on the pocket nourishing meals
      *  Sample menu and dishes

3.  Diets for Special Needs
      *  Low purine
      *  Low fat
      *  Low sodium
      *  Sample menu and dishes


Employees are encouraged to attend particularly those who plan menus  
for their families and those who have special dietary needs due to  
some health conditions.  Our resource speaker is Ms. Cecile Leah T.  
Bayaga from the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, College of  
Home Economics, University of the Philippines.

Please coordinate permission through your units/offices and confirm  
your attendance with HRMO until 12:00 noon, Tuesday, May 17, 2011.   
This will help us prepare for snacks for confirmed participants. The  
training cost will be shouldered by HRMO.
