Confucius Instiute at the Ateneo de Manila University to conduct the  
Annual HSK-Chinese Proficiency Exam for the year 2011

The Annual HSK exam will be conducted by the Confucius Institute at  
the Ateneo de Manila University again this year. Kindly see below for  
more details:

Test Schedule:

Date: 		4 September 2011 (Sunday)
Time:		9:00 A.M. ? 12:00 P.M.
Venue:	CI Office Makati- 6th Floor Ateneo Professional School, 130  
H.V. Dela Costa St. Salcedo Village, Makati City.

Levelling and Fees

1. HSK Level 1 ? Php 250.00

In this level, the learners of the language are expected to have  
developed skills in listening to simple sentences. They should have  
mastered at least 150 characters.

2. HSK Level 2 ? Php 300.00

The level 2 exam is aimed at those familiar with 300 characters and  
who have developed skills in listening to compound sentences.

3. HSK Level 3 ? Php 300.00

The level 3 exam is aimed at those familiar with 600 characters and  
who have developed skills in listening to more compound sentences.

4. HSK Level 4? Php 400.00

The level 4 exam is aimed at those familiar with 1200 characters and  
who have developed skills in listening to compound sentences and  
creating simple composition.

5. HSK Level 5? Php 550.00

In this level, the learners of the language are expected to have  
developed skills in listening to complex sentences. They should have  
mastered at least 2500 characters.

6. HSK Level 6? Php 650.00

In this level, the learners of the language are expected to have  
developed skills in listening to complex sentences. They should have  
mastered at least 5000 characters.

Registration

Registration Start: 		4 August 2011 (Thursday)
Registration Deadline: 	15 August 2011 (Monday)
Registration Requirements:
1. Completed registration form
2. A photocopy of the photo page of the current government-issued  
identification (passport, driver?s license, SSS, etc.)
3. Three recent passport sized photographs (white background, no head  
wear) with applicant?s name written at the back
4. Examination fee


Test Admission Ticket

Start of release of admission tickets: 	20 August 2011 (Saturday)
CI offices (Quezon City or Makati City)


Things to Bring on the Examination Day:

1. Passport, residence permit or government-issued ID
2. HSK exam permit
3. At least 2 pencils (HB or 2B) and eraser

Important Reminders:

1. Arrive half an hour (30 minutes; 8:30 a.m.) before the test schedule.
- If the test taker is late for less than 5 minutes, he/she may  
immediately enter the test room to take the exam. If the test taker is  
late for 5-35 minutes, he/she may take the exam when the next part of  
the exam begins, and no extension shall be given to make up for the  
lost time. If the test taker is late for more than 35 minutes, his/her  
qualification of taking the exam will be cancelled.

2. Show your admission ticket and I.D. when you enter the testing room.
- The name on the ID certificate must be fully consistent with that on  
the test admission ticket; the photo on the certificate must be the  
recognizable test taker himself/herself, i.e. the photo should be  
identical with the appearance of the test taker.

3. Put the admission ticket and ID at the top right corner of the  
table so as to facilitate the examiner and proctor to conduct  
inspection at any time.
- If the test taker fails to provide the stipulated certificate or  
presents any fake certificate when entering the test room, he/she will  
be refused to take the exam, and the exam fees shall not be refunded.

4. No breaks will be allowed during the test except for emergencies.  
Permission to leave the room will be subject to examiner?s decision.

5. Sit at your designated seat.

6. No food or drinks is allowed inside the testing room.

7. In case of natural disaster or fortuitous accidents, the Chinese  
Testing International will organize a re-test for the test takers as  
soon as possible, or refund all test fees, but shall not make  
compensation for any indirect loss.

8. No make-up test or refund will be given to test takers in case of absences.

9. If a test taker is caught cheating, he/she will be forbidden to  
continue the test and will be banned to take any other test conducted  
by the Confucius Institute Headquarters.

10. All electronic devices must be turned off or in silent mode during  
the exam.
