"Films for Peace" is postponed to March 2, 4:30-6:30pm. Venue is still
at SEC C 201 A.

In celebration of its 35th year, the Office for Social Concern and
Involvement, in collaboration with Probe Media Foundation, invite
everyone to a film showing entitled "Films for Peace" on February 23,
4:30-6:30pm at SEC C 201 A.

The featured films all give voice to the youth of Mindanao who are
caught in the crossfire between the insurgents and the government.

The films are made by Kabataan News Network (KNN), "a network of about
one hundred sixty young video journalists from ten different areas
from all over the Philippines. KNN produces Kabataan X-Press, a show
that offers a unique window into the world of the Filipino youth. The
show chronicles more than just what's hip and what's cool, it also
looks into major issues that concern young people aged 14-20. Teen
prostitution, girl to girl relationships, election issues, the state
of the juvenile justice system, mining in Camarines Norte, and the
life of Muslims in Manila are just some of the hard-hitting stories
that have been featured on the show." (For more on Kabataan News
Network, you may visit their website at http://www.kabataannews.com.)

Entrance to the film showing is free.
