[Blueboard] Opportunity for Ateneo academic/administrative staff to visit a European University

Call for Application: ERASMUS MUNDUS MOBILITY WITH ASIA (EMMA-EAST-WEST)

 

As many as 6 Ateneo academic/administrative staff will be selected to visit a European university for one month, through the ERASMUS MUNDUS MOBILITY WITH ASIA (EMMA-EAST-WEST) programme. EMMA is a mobility programme fully sponsored by the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window action from the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Union. Its objective is to develop cooperation between Asian and European higher education institutions through the exchange of students and staff.  The exchanges will hopefully contribute in enriching the educational environment of both the Asian and European universities.

 

Application is now open for staff mobility.  This mobility involves training, teaching and/or research activities to be performed by academic or administrative staff of partner institutions (such as Ateneo de Manila University) in host universities. Mobilities for visiting faculty/staff are for the duration of one month and may begin anytime between March and December 2011.  The grant will cover roundtrip airfare; stipend (2,500 euros)  and health, travel and accident insurance.

 

Grantees should visit one of the following partner universities in Europe:

1.         Universite de Nice-Sophia Antipolis (France)

2.         University of Hiedelberg (Germany)

3.         University of Genova (Italy)

4.         Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland)

5.         "Lucian Blaga" University Sibiu (Romania)

6.         University of Padua (Italy)

7.         University of Warsaw (Poland)

8.         University of Evora (Portugal)

9.         University of Twente (The Netherlands)

 

Applicants are advised to visit the website of the partner universities for the available fields of study and preferably find a contact person at the host university.

 

All applications are to be made online at http://www.emmasia.eu/page2869.html and completed by December 21, 2010.  However, to give Ateneo time to screen its applicants, please complete the application form by December 15, 2010.
