[Blueboard] JESCOM show turns 10

PASAKALYE,  JesCom's multi-awarded and longest running radio program, reaches another milestone!  

Hosted by Fr. Nono Alfonso, SJ, PASAKALYE turns 10 this June!

In 2000, when Fr. Nono had only begun his studies in philosophy as a Jesuit scholastic, he and batchmate, now - also - a - priest, FR. FRANCIS ALVAREZ, SJ  started the radio program which aired every Sunday in Radio Veritas, the Catholic radio station.  On board as sound engineer was Ateneo alumnus and musician, Toto Sorioso.

The following year, the program, which blends together Jesuit music and spiritual reflections, won the Catholic Mass Media Awards  (CMMA) for Best Radio Show.  Last year, FR. NONO ALFONSO, SJ was awarded the prestigiuos GOLDEN DOVE AWARD by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas for his father's day episode in PASAKALYE.

After 10 years, PASAKALYE is also syndicated by other radio stations through out the Philippines:  

Surigao City (DXSN), Nueva Ecija (DZTH), Pangasinan (DZWM/DWJJ), Occidental Mindoro (DZVT-AM), Bacolod City (DYAF), Batangas (DWAM), San Fernando,La Union (DZYL), Ozamis City (DXDD), Bangued, Abra (DZRA), Laoag City (DZEA), Legaspi City (DWBS-AM), Vigan City (DZNS).

JesCom congratulates PASAKALYE!  We look forward to promoting the Good News via radio, TV and other media avenues.
