Subject: Call for Applications: Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts 2011

The Loyola Schools, headed by the School of Humanities, is now
accepting applications for the 2011 Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts
Each year, the LSAA awards senior students of the Loyola Schools who
have done outstanding work in the arts. In the past years, it has
successfully given recognition to talented and outstanding
student-artists who have eventually led successful careers in the
fields of film, theatre, creative writing, among many others.
This year, the LSAA seeks to give recognition to seniors involved in
the following artistic fields: Creative Writing (Poetry, Fiction, The
Literary Essay, and Playwriting), the Theatre Arts (Direction, Acting,
and Theatre Production), the Screen Arts (Film), the Visual Arts
(Painting, Photography, Graphic Design, and Illustration), Music,
Dance, and Multi-genre Cross-Disciplinary Artforms.
To be eligible for the awards, an applicant must be a student of the
Loyola Schools on his/her senior or fifth year displaying an active
involvement in the arts either inside or outside of the university.
Eligible applicants are requested to get an application form from the
School of Humanities Dean?s Office, G/F Horacio de la Costa Hall and
to submit the following documents on or before January 12, 2011:
1. A duly accomplished application form, including 2 recommendation
2. A Creative Portfolio
The data sheet and recommendation letter can also be downloaded from
the Ateneo de Manila University website at this URL:
Application period runs from November 24, 2010 to January 12, 2011.
All applications must be submitted to the Dean?s Office, School of
Humanities on January 12, 2011, at 5:00 p.m.
The complete list of 2011 LSAA Awardees will be announced on February
18, 2011 and awarding ceremonies will be held on March 9, 2011.
