CALAMITY LOAN FOR AMPC MEMBERS 
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------


During its emergency Board Meeting last Tuesday, October 6, the AMPC Board of Directors passed a resolution offering A CALAMITY LOAN FOR AMPC MEMBERS AFFECTED BY THE FLOOD

    ·          WHO MAY AVAIL OF THIS? 
           AMPC members affected by the flood and employed by the Ateneo and its Affiliated Units



    ·          PREREQUISITE 

            - ATENEO EMPLOYEES - their names must appear in the database of typhoon victims compiled by the Personnel Office of the     University

            - EMPLOYEES OF AFFILIATED UNITS - they should submit a recommendation letter from their Unit Head



    ·          AMOUNT - P30,000 maximum



    ·          INTEREST - .5% per month or 6% for 1 year



    ·          SERVICE FEE - 1.5% of the loan amount



    ·          TERM - 1 year



    ·          CREDIT COMMITTEE - To review all loan applications so that the credit ratio of the loan amount is based on the applicant's take-home pay.



    ·          APPLICATION PERIOD - October 16-31, 2009



   ·          CO-MAKERS - not required (same as Contingency Loans)


              Note: When approved, the calamity loan will be considered an entirely new loan. Therefore, the amount of the loan will not affect the balance of existing loans, only                               the computation of the credit ratio.

FOR INFORMATION: The Board also approved two resolutions 

                - extending financial assistance to AMPC regular and casual employees affected by the flood 

                - offering a calamity loan for affected AMPC regular employees
