The Ateneo School of Government is looking for a Research Associate on  
Health for its Science and Technology Innovations for the Base of the  
Pyramid in Southeast Asia (iBoP Asia) project (www.ibop-asia.net). The  
overall objective of the research project is to foster science and  
technology (S&T) innovations that can effectively address the  
developmental needs of the poor and excluded in the region.

Qualifications:

He/She must have the following qualifications:

- A Master?s Degree in Public Health or related disciplines, or an MD;

- Sufficient background on health, innovations, and/or BoP issues, or
related fields, preferably in Southeast Asian context;

- Knowledge of public and private institutions, including partnerships
and related initiatives, that deal with or work on health, innovations,
and the BoP;
- Excellent research and writing skills;

- Demonstrated capability to analyze data gathered; and

- Willingness to participate in related initiatives to attain research  
objectives

The Research Associate will be expected to conduct a desk research of  
relevant laws and policy instruments in the region, including private  
sector framework or guidelines and other related literature, on the  
subject matter. If necessary, the Research Associate will conduct  
personal/phone interviews, develop questionnaires, and participate in  
related initiatives in pursuit of the objectives of the research.  
Inputs from these activities will be collated and analyzed, and will  
form the basis for the submission of the expected research outputs.

The Research Associate will be contracted for 4 to 6 months only.
