Planned APS Congress to bridge education and nation building

Representatives from the Ateneo Professional Schools (APS), led by their deans, took the first step in leading the university's sesquicentennial celebration by coming together to brainstorm on the APS Congress on May 6, 2009 at the Ateneo Rockwell campus. The Congress, slated sometime in October 2009, has the theme "Professionals for others at the front lines of nation building". Read full article here.

'Ateneo of Yesteryears' winner for this week!

Congratulations to Senen Lainez (Post Grad 1975) who gave us a glimpse of fun high school reunions in the '70s! Senen sent two photos taken during the reunion of High School '31 in 1971. According to him, the class was celebrating their 40th anniversary. Please claim your prize at the Office of University Development and Alumni Relations (OUDAR), Alingal Hall (near the Residence Halls), Ateneo Loyola Heights campus. Look for Mimi Agbay.

>From the Sesqui Blog

"I believe that the real challenge for our Presidentiables, some of whom come from landed families, is being able to go beyond lip service and lead the initiative to ensure that CARPER is passed before June 5. My unsolicited advice to the Presidentiables? If you truly are for the poor then now is the time to show it. Support and actively campaign for CARPER."
