To prevent the spread of the Influenza A H1N1 in the Ateneo community,
all members of the Ateneo de Manila community are asked to follow the
guidelines listed below:

1. All members of the community who return from travel abroad must
observe a 10 day self quarantine period during which they can not come
to the University. If they have flu or flu-like symptoms within 10
days from arrival in the country, they are asked to consult a health
care professional who can advise them if further examination is
necessary.

2. Members of the community who develop flu or flu like symptoms
(fever, cough, headache, muscle and joint pain, sore throat and
sometimes vomiting or diarrhea) are requested to go on sick leave
until they feel better. However, if they have no history of travel
in the last ten days and/or exposure to person/s who have traveled or
persons with confirmed Influenza A H1N1 they may report for work
provided they:

gatherings and keeping a distance of at least one meter from others
      - frequent hand washing

have history of travel in the last ten days or exposure to persons
with a history of travel also in the last ten days or who have been
exposed to persons with confirmed influenza A H1N1 are advised not to
report for work. They must:

       - call their doctor immediately who will determine whether they should
get tested for Influenza A H1N1
       - report results to their school unit.

4. Employees who have frontline functions that involve frequent face
to face contact with the public (students, parents, messengers, etc)
are asked to wear a mask while at work.
