Jay Gomez has performed actively both as a soloist and in the chamber scene
with pianists Cecile Licad and Raul Sunico, violinist Coke Bolipata, cellist
Renato Lucas, and soprano Rachel Gerodias, among others.  He emerged as Grand
Prize winner in the 2003 USA World Music Songwriting contest and in 2005, was
recipient of the "Best Instrumental Performance in a Recording" for the annual
Awit Awards. Currently, he is affiliated with Jesuit Communications
Foundation's SFX Digital Recording Studio as sound engineer.  Under JesComm,
he has produced several albums and recorded four of solo flute and guitar. He
has performed extensively in Southeast Asia and in 2006 completed a concert
tour in the US East Coast as flutist of the Himig Heswita of the Jesuit Music
Ministry.  He is also a session artist in flute and saxophone for commercial
artists.  He is married to ballerina Rubylee V. Gomez.

Katherine Fernandez-Asis completed her bachelor?s degree in piano from the
University of the Philippines in 2001, summa cum laude and university
valedictorian, under the tutelage of Carmencita Arambulo. She was awarded one
of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines, UP Alumni Association
Outstanding Graduate, UP Gawad Chancellor?s Pinakamahusay na Estudyante, and
was named a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Katherine went on to
pursue her masters in piano under Reynaldo Reyes in the US where she graduated
with highest distinction in 2003 and won prizes in several piano competitions.
She has performed in recitals and concerts in the US, Taiwan, Japan, Spain and
Brunei.  Currently, she teaches piano and a music program for early childhood.
She is the wife of banking and finance lawyer Jehri Asis, a native of Butuan
City, and the full-time mother of two children.

Jay and Katherine were classmates at the Philippine High School for the Arts in
Mt. Makiling, Los Banos, Laguna, a school that awards full four-year
scholarships to Filipinos showing high artistic potential. They have been
performing together since 1992.
