*Faith on the Move: Toward a Theology of Migration in Asia, *will be
presented in a discussion on migration Wednesday, February 11, from 10 to
11.30 am, Loyola School of Theology, through the support of LST, the
Scalabrini Migration Center, and the CBCP-Episcopal Commission for the
Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People.

*Faith on the Move*, a pioneering anthology under the Theology and Religious
Studies series of the Ateneo Press, is edited by Fabio Baggio and Agnes
Brazal. The contributors, scholar-theologians from various lay and
religious groups or academic institutions, are Lou Aldrich, SJ, Victorino
Cueto, CSsR, Emmanuel S. de Guzman, James Kroeger, MM, Anselm Min, William
LaRousse, MM, Felipe Muncada, SVD, Anthony Rogers, FSC, and Giovanni Zevola,

The event features a presentation on international migration to be given by
Dr. Maruja Asis of the Scalabrini Migration Center, and an introduction of
the Migration Theology program of the Loyola School of Theology by its
president Mario Francisco, SJ. The open forum after the remarks of the
authors will be moderated by Edwin Corros, CS.

The book has been cited by Prof. Peter Phan of Georgetown University as the
"first work on migration in Asia that deftly blends sociology, anthropology,
philosophy, theology and spirituality to show that migration, now a
universal phenomenon, thanks in part to globalization, must be a constant
concern of the Church's mission since it is part of the Church's catholicity
and a demand for justice."

Bishop Chito Tagle of Cavite adds that the book "will disturb our
consciences...in order to reawaken a faith that can move mountains, the same
faith that impels and sustains migrants in their pilgrimage."
