The Manila Observatory, a Jesuit institution engaged in scientific research,
invites applicants for the following position and project:

PROJECT RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Project:  Regional Climate Modeling

QUALIFICATIONS:

College graduate preferably in the fields of natural science or engineering
preferably, with physics and math background
Computer programming skills (BASIC, FORTRAN OR C)
Familiar with Linux operation system
Proficient with MS Office or similar suites
Good oral and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and a team worker
Keen interest in weather, climate and air quality

FUNCTIONS:

Maintain climate models and perform climate modeling system experiments
Process and analyze climate and weather data, including observation data
Conduct air quality modeling
Simulate and analyze real-time weather prediction
Write scientific reports and participate in conferences
