                               LECTURE ABSTRACT

Drawn from almost fifty years of friendship with him, this talk offers an
intimate portrait of the Jesuit, Roque J. Ferriols, the philosopher of Meron.

Convinced that the unique vision expressed in Fr. Ferriols?s philosophy is of
great significance to the world, this hopefully ?creative
repetition? in English strives to articulate the ?ever incomplete
saying of the unsayable that
needs nevertheless to be said but never exhaustibly? (?ang di masabi-sabi
nguni?t kailangang pa rin sabihin?)?the freshness and richness of Meron.
