Kindly post, thank you!

We are very pleased to share with you the news that the Pathways to
Higher Education program has been chosen as one of only three
finalists for the Asia Society?s Asia 21 Public Service Award. The
award acknowledges organizations that benefit the underprivileged
social and economic groups, communities and the public in the Asia
Pacific region.

Together with Pathways, Hands on Manila (Philippines) and Machik
(Tibet) are nominated for the award. [According to the website] This
is the first time since 2006 that a Filipino organization has been
chosen. We are indeed proud to be one of the Filipino finalists. Asia
Society will announce the lone winner by late October.

We ask for your prayers and best wishes that Pathways will be granted
this award that will enable the program to help more public high
school students pursue quality college education in the Philippines
and the region.

The award consists of a $10,000 grant and the support of the Asia 21
Class of 2008 Fellows for one full year for program development and
their assistance to replicate the project in the region. The Award
will be presented at the Asia Society?s Asia 21 Young Leaders Summit
on November 15, 2008 in Tokyo, Japan.
