POWER: Energy conservation measures have minimized the negative impact of
the increasing cost of electricity since school year 2004-2005.

Fire Prevention Month: March is Fire Prevention Month. Next to
carelessness, faulty electrical wiring and equipment have been identified as
the cause of fires in Metro Manila. The community is reminded to check
electric fans and air conditioning units for unusual operation that may
warrant repair. Leaving air con units and electric fans on all night and on
weekends have caused fires many times in the past.

WATER: The 4th quarter tests of contents of cisterns and overhead tanks
will be done this week. Results will be released next week.

Water conservation measures in the three campuses have reduced amount of
water used.

TRAFFIC: The 2008-2009 gate pass stickers will be issued on Tuesday 1
April 2008.

To facilitate early processing of stickers for Ateneo and Affiliated units'
personnel, application forms for the 2008-2009 gate pass sticker may now be
downloaded from
http://www.ateneo.edu/upp/forms_doc/Gatepass_Application_Form.doc.

1.	Fill up the form and send it to Room 207 for processing.

1.1 If the gate pass sticker applied for is for the same vehicle issued
a sticker last year, there is no need to submit a photo copy of the OR
(Official Receipt) and CR (Certificate of Registration).

1.2 If the application is for another vehicle, you have to submit a
photo copy of the OR and CR.

2.	Payment for gate pass stickers will start on 1 April. Bring the
processed application form with you when you pay the corresponding fee at
the Cashier's Window, Xavier Hall.

3.	Return the application form with the payment receipt to Room 207 and
get your 2008-2009 gate pass sticker.

The cost of gate pass stickers has NOT increased since 2003. To cover the
increasing cost of improving and maintaining campus roads, carparks, traffic
and parking signs and traffic guards, the cost of the gate pass stickers
will be adjusted. Starting 1 April 2008 the cost of gate pass sticker will
be:

The Leopard Security & Investigation Agency (LSIA) has replaced its old
Toyota FX service vehicle with a newer Isuzu diesel pickup last week. The
LSIA service vehicle is the campus emergency vehicle that brings members of
the community with medical problems or victims of accidents to the hospital.

SG JOSEPH S BANHAO, assigned at the Loyola Schools complex met an accident
last Sunday, 9 March along C5 on his way home to Taguig. Two pedestrians
dashed across the street and one collided with his motorcycle. The
jaywalker suffered only minor bruises but SG Banhao suffered a broken jaw
and a cut on his right leg. He underwent surgery and a titanium brace was
used for his jaws. He was hospitalized for five days.

SG Banhao is a recipient of 5 commendations for apprehending a male "Salisi"
con man, for honesty in returning several wallets with cash and cell phones
he found in the college complex in 2006 and another 3 commendation in 2007
also for honesty in returning cash and cell phones (Nokia 6600 & N90). He
is also a recipient of the HEROES of SOSSWeek08:BalikBAYAN award in 2008.

His hospital expenses exceeded his medical benefits. Any assistance
extended to SG Banhao will be much appreciated. Please send your assistance
to: Engr. J. F. Almosera local 4105.
