POWER: The underground power cable to Bellarmine Field that burned last 12
February has been replaced and energized. Power was restored in time for
the Parade and Review of the Department of Air Science and Tactics last
Saturday, 8 March. The Blue Roast on 26 March will have power in Bellarmine
SECURITY: The community is warned of a female "con artist" on the loose. A
graduate student was victimized at 7:30 p.m. last Thursday, 6 March. The
student was with a prayer group in front of the Gesu when a woman approached
the group, crying and asking for help. The woman claimed that her daughter
was in serious condition in PGH. The woman was looking for a Jesuit priest
but could not find him in the Jesuit Residence. She needed money for her
daughter. Pitying her, the student gave the woman P1,500 and offered to
further help her. When the student got home she called PGH to find out the
status of the woman's daughter. PGH told the student that there was no
patient as claimed by the woman.
The woman is described as: in her mid-thirties, slim, fair complexioned and
with short hair. She is a confidence artist. The community is alerted to
be on the lookout for her and call security immediately if encountered.
LOST, FOUND & RETURNED:
1. 11:25 a.m., Thursday, 6 March: Happy Grade School student claiming
Nintendo player he misplaced in the morning.
2. 6:00 p.m., Thursday, 6 March: SG FERNANDO G PEROCHE found an Apple
laptop in SEC A room 124.
3. 8:20 p.m., Thursday, 6 March: Owner claiming laptop at the

5. 8:55 a.m., Friday, 7 March: Owner claiming the laptop found by DR.

6. 6:45 a.m., Friday, 7 March: MR. JOVITO O. DE LUNA, J.A.Rementina
worker turning over to security a wallet with driver's license, ATM card and
credit card he found at the diversion road carpark. The owner claimed it
later in the day. The owner claimed he lost it the day before.

TRAFFIC: The 2008-2009 gate pass stickers will be issued on Tuesday, 1
April. For the convenience of Ateneo and Affiliated units' personnel and to
facilitate early processing, application forms for the 2008-2009 gate pass
sticker may now be downloaded from
1. Fill up the form and send it to Room 207 for processing. You may do
this starting today.
1.1 If the gate pass sticker applied for is for the same vehicle issued
a sticker last year, there is no need to submit a photo copy of the OR
(Official Receipt) and CR (Certificate of Registration).
1.2 If the application is for another vehicle, you have to submit a
photo copy of the OR and CR.
2. Payment for gate pass stickers will start on 1 April. Bring the
processed application form with you when you pay the corresponding fee at
the Cashier's Window, Xavier Hall.
3. Return the application form with the payment receipt to Room 207 and
get your 2008-2009 gate pass sticker.
The cost of gate pass stickers has NOT increased since 2003. To cover the
increasing cost of improving and maintaining campus roads, carparks, traffic
and parking signs and traffic guards, the cost of the gate pass stickers
will be adjusted. Starting 1 April 2008 the cost of gate pass sticker will

The community is encouraged to get their gate pass stickers in April and May
to AVOID the rush and the P1,000 surcharge after the 30 June deadline.
Traffic and parking violations are major causes of traffic gridlock and
accidents on campus. The updated traffic and parking violation penalties
may be download as a Word file from

for the good of the community and AVOID paying the penalty.
