Jesuit Communications Foundation, Inc., an institution engaged in the production of audio-visual and multimedia materials for Christian evangelization invites applicants for the following position:


Finance and Administration Manager

Job Objective : Ensures the business feasibility and financial sustainability of income generating projects to contribute significantly to the organizational viability of JESCOM. 


Reports to : Executive Director


Supervises :

  1.. Cashier/Personnel Officer 
  2.. Finance Officer 
  3.. Sound Engineer 
  4.. Administrative Officer 
  5.. Inventory Custodian 
  6.. Janitors 
  7.. Drivers / Messengers

Main Responsibilites :


A. Revenue Development 


  1.. Sets sales and profits targets annually for the organization. 
  2.. Leads the conceptualization of business strategies that would ensure greater market reach and higher sales and profits. 
  3.. Leads product and service (includes training and facilities rental) development discussions throughout the organization (particularly with the Media Production's Creative Director and the Training & Education Director)  to ensure that there is match between market and Jescom offers. 
  4.. Ensures cost effectiveness in the procurement of services for the replenishment of goods and products sold by Jescom. 
  5.. Conducts or commissions the conduct of rigorous feasibility studies on new projects being conceptualized. 
  6.. Costs and prices products and services ensuring that cost recovery is achieved and profit generated.

B. Finance and Investments


  7.. Develops, updates and oversees implementation of policies and systems of the treasury, accounting, budget, and internal financial auditing functions of the foundation. 
  8.. Creates appropriate financial and administrative policies, systems, procedures and processes that expedite operations and implementation of JESCOM program goals and objectives. 
  9.. Liaises with fund managers for the short-term and commercial placement of JESCOM funds and monitors the yield of investments and makes the necessary interventions, upon consultation with the Executive Director and the Treasurer of the Board, to ensure that JESCOM is at a better financial advantage.
C. Financial Management

10.   Ensures that petty cash are disbursed, replenished and charged properly.

11.    Supervises daily and weekly cash transactions, bookkeeping, and preparation of reports following the systems and policies


D. Administrative


12. Takes charge of year-end reports and documents in coordination with other directors and departments.

13. Supervises all administrative matters in regard to facilities rental, standard procedures, housekeeping, etc.

14.  Liases with the legal counsel on all matters.


E.  Human Resources Management


  15.. Maintains the relevance of human resource policies, systems and procedures in areas such as screening and recruitment, performance appraisal, and salary & benefits administration, among others. 
  16.. With the Executive Director, conducts periodic salary and benefits review and recommends workable salary structure and benefits design for approval of the Board. 
  17.. Performs other functions that may be required from time to time.
