Be involved! Be informed! Socio-political forums and a mass, Feb. 14, 17, and 23
The community is invited to attend a forum organized by Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB), the socio-political ministry of the Society of Jesus, and the Ateneo de Manila University. Take part in "Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas: Ang Pilipinas na 'hindi' iisang pamilya lamang" (wika ni Jun Lozada, NBN ZTE Star Witness)," on February 14, 2008, 4:30 p.m. at Gate 2.5 of the Ateneo Loyola Heights campus.
Listen and learn from:
- Dr. Benjie Tolosa of the Ateneo Political Science Department, who co-organized the Watch and Pray movement
- Atty. Chochoy Medina, Director of the Ateneo Human Rights Center, the lawyer behind the Writ of Habeas Corpus and Writ of Amparo
- Fr. Javier Alpasa, SJ, Director of Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan. He is part of the church group which continues to move the Lozada and Sumilao cases forward, together with Bishop Broderick Pabillo, DD.
On February 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m., SLB invites the community to participate in "Kwentong Bayan" at the Ateneo Grade School Auditorium, Loyola Heights campus. Speakers include Senator Francis Pangilinan, Univerity of the Philippines Professor Winnie Monsod, and Cabinet Secretary Ricardo Saludo. Former President Corazon Aquino will also share her views.

The community is also encouraged to attend a mass for truth, accountability and change to be held on February 17, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at the La Salle Greenhills Gymnasium. Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ will be the presider. Former President Corazon Aquino is special guest.
