Jesuit Communications, a Catholic foundation engaged in the production of audio-visual and multimedia materials for Christian evangelization is in need of a graphic artist.  The job description and basic requirements can be found below.

Graphic Designer

 

Job Objective:

Visualizes and executes graphic design and layout of JesCom advertising/promotional materials and merchandising collaterals

 

Reports to:

The Assistant Marketing Manager

 

Main Responsibilities:

  a.. Coordinates with JesCom departments on general and specific ad/promo/merchandising material design needs 
  b.. Prepares workplan and calendar for the year to ensure that all requirements of the organizations are met 
  c.. Designs at least 3 studies for promotional and product materials for all JesCom products 
  d.. Finalizes design and ensures that execution is accurate 
  e.. When needed, be able to tutor or teach a course on graphic design for the Garage 
  f.. Updates and maintains websites 
  g.. Performs other tasks from time to time
 

Qualifications / Skills Required:

  a.. Experience in graphic design work (professional or amateur portfolio must be presented) 
  b.. A degree with emphasis in Graphic Design a plus but not absolutely required 
  c.. Proficiency in graphic design softwares (Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) 
  d.. Working knowledge of web design (Macromedia Dreamweaver, HTML, etc.) 
  e.. Ability to work logically, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines 
  f.. Illustration and photography skills a plus 
  g.. Proven team working skills, combined with willingness to use own initiative and to work with minimum supervision 
  h.. Keen interest in, and enthusiasm for, the work of the foundation
