                      SOURCES, BEGINNINGS, ENDINGS:

                         A HEIDEGGER CONFERENCE

on Saturday, 24 Saturday November 2007

                           10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

SOM 111 (Ching Tan Room), JGSOM

The conference features six papers on the thought of Heidegger, five from
the faculty of the Ateneo de Manila who have done serious studies of
Heidegger, and one from visiting Prof. Philippe Capelle, Dean of the
Faculty of Philosophy at the Institut Catholique de Paris and President
of the Conference Mondiale des Institutions Universitaires Catholiques de
Philosophie (COMIUCAP). The papers will focus on key insights of the
philosopher that indicate the sources of his thinking--what he calls
"Besinnung" or medidative thought--such as the Greek ("the first
beginning") and the theological, as well as suggest what may come, or
what the thinker himself calls "the other beginning."
