The Center for Ignatian Spirituality (Phil) invites those who wish to  
acquire a basic orientation to the ministry of spiritual direction and  
retreat giving in the Ignatian Tradition

STUDY CIRCLE on Ignatian Spiritual Direction and Retreat Giving

The Study Circle on Ignatian Spiritual Direction and Retreat Giving is  
meant to address the needs of those who want to become acquainted with  
the nature, and dynamics of spiritual direction and retreat giving in  
the Ignatian tradition.  Also included in the program are  
psycho-spiritual development models and a workshop on basic helper  
skills.

Program Cost:    P 6,000.00

Non-refundable reservation fee:  P 2,000.00 (deadline July 6, 2007)
Full Payment upon the first session, July 21, 2007.
The program cost should not deter anyone from participating.
Arrangements can be made regarding partial scholarships for deserving  
individuals.

Program Requirements:
a.  Personal Essay (1-2 pages typed, double spaced) to include the following:
1.  A description of your spiritual growth or the development of your
     relationship with God.
2.  You reasons for wanting to train as a spiritual director/retreat giver.
3.  Programs or process, if any, you have undergone in the past three years
     that have fostered self-awareness and self-understanding.
b.  Interview with a CIS staff.
c.  Experience of a 5-day or an 8-day individually guided retreat, the 19th
     Annotation of the Spiritual Exercises, or the 30-day retreat.

Those who haven't had any of the above MUST avail of the 5-day  
retreats offered by CIS according to the availability of the directors.

 From its beginnings in 1991, the Center for Ignatian Spirituality  
Philippines (CIS Phil) saw as its mission the formation and training  
of ministers and agents of Ignatian Spirituality.

CIS Philippines aims to be a resource training, network and renewal  
center for those who aspire to deepen their faith life in the light of  
Ignatian Spirituality.  It continues to share the gifts of the  
Spiritual Exercises and Ignatian Spirituality through spiritual  
direction, retreats, workshops, conferences, supervised retreat-giving  
experiences, and study circles for retreat-givers and spiritual  
directors.


DEGREE COURSE IN SPIRITUALITY AND RETREAT DIRECTING

Participants in the Retreat in Daily Life, Study Circle on Ignatian  
Spiritual Direction and Retreat Giving and the Summer Training Program  
for Ignatian Retreat Giving have the option of earning credits for the  
degree course in Spirituality and Retreat Directing.
