  Cristina Jayme Montiel

  Social Development Complex Conference Hall

  (RSVP Vangie at 4265984; 4266001 local 4613)

The book memorializes eleven young men who had studied or graduated from
the Ateneo in the late '60s to the '70s, who like many of those in their
generation lived their lives according to their convictions under the
repressive Marcos regime. The eleven featured in this book are: Ferdie
Arceo, Bill Begg, Jun Celestial, Sonny Hizon, Edjop Jopson, Eman Lacaba,
Dante Perez, Ditto Sarmiento, Lazzie Silva, Nick Solana, and Manny Yap.

Dr. Montiel is professor of Peace/Political Psychology and coordinator
of the doctorate program in Social-Organizational Psychology of the
Ateneo's Department of Psychology. From 1972 to 1985, she was chair of
Lingap Bilanggo, a social movement for the general amnesty of all
political prisoners.

The book will be available from the Ateneo Press (4265984, 4266001 ext
4610/3; unipress at admu.edu.ph) starting January 30, and from other good
bookstores soon after.
