Mr. Tang Xiyang, from the People's Republic of China, is being honored with
the Magsaysay Award, considered Asia's Nobel Prize, for "guiding China to 
meet
 its mounting environmental crisis by heeding the lessons of its global
neighbors and the timeless wisdom of nature itself." Mr. Tang is a 
journalist,
environmental writer, and activist. His book, A Green World Tour, is
considered the bible of China's environmental movement.
