Abstract. In contrast to thinking in science, in art or in everyday life,
philosophical thinking is marked by a genuine action and attitude, which
Heidegger and phenomenology especially ask for. The original form of
thinking is to be brought in full relief as it happens in the counterplay
between the demand of being and the corresponding instance of human
thinking.

Ms. Karin Hutflötz wrote a dissertation on Heidegger under the supervision
of Prof. Dr. Gerd Haeffner, S.J. Her areas of research include philosophy
of science and the relationship between art and religious experience. She
is currently a lecturer in philosophy and works as an academic consultant.
